Natami becomes reality

The Native Amiga is a project that has for many years in development but lately is taking giant steps. It is based on a reimplementation of the classic Amiga hardware on a FPGA , as well as other projects such as Minimig or FPGA arcade. The difference is that Natami not content with giving us the old Amiga technology running on current hardware, but expands its boundaries as never before seen.
To begin with not only supports modes OCS, ECS and AGA but adds a new mode, the SuperAG, compatible with the latter but enhanced with truecolor and chunky, and the maximum resolution up to 1280x1024 pixels. Besides the well-known Blitter , the graphics chip to copy graphics and usually a bottleneck becomes SuperBlitter, with a speed much higher than Blitter we know. This is not all because besides the SuperAG have 3D acceleration feature classic Amiga could only get additional cards.
While all this seems like a dream it does not stop here. The CPU is on a separate card which enables a change of processor. The initial systems have a card with a 68060 for maximum compatibility in the future but this board may susbtituirse other, carrying a Coldfire or a PPC for example. Another great idea Natami team is developing a compatible CPU 68k series and implemented on the same FPGA. May also be that in this way do not need to have additional card processor will see if it confirms this point. Finally, the sound is not far behind and now Paul can use 16 bit samples.

These are the nameplate Natami MX:

-Altera Cyclone FPGA Series IV, with the new chipset Amiga SuperAG "another logic to the system, and the new processor design compatible with 68Ks "N68050"
-512 MB DDR2 SDRAM soldered on the motherboard
-1x PCI slot, with the possibility, of expanding their number up to 3
-Slot PCI expansion "SyncZorro" to add the additional CPU card (available from the beginning 68 060 )
-Port DVI-I video 31kHz modes, scandoubling modes supported for
15KHz-15KHz output RGB
Realtek RTL8110 Gigabit Ethernet controller
-USB2 and USB ports
-Port IDE 3 , 5
-Connector for Compact Flash Internal (IDE)-Kickstart
flash memory-FDD connector (supports Amiga and PC floppy)
-Amiga serial port (but of 9-pin) Parallel Port
-
Amiga joystick ports -2 / Amiga mouse connectors
-video and RCA audio ports
-keyboard and mouse PS / 2
-LED Amiga Classic + 1 additional indicating whether this asset
scandoubler
